that only works if you do it exactly once per semester. Otherwise, they'll catch on and always answer C.

Re: Magic the Gathering: Ask a Judge
I figure, animate your Sarkhan, cast Dack's Duplicate, animate the duplicate, sac the original Sarkhan to SBAs, then get your Dethrone beats on.
But rules-wise, the Duplicate enters as a copy of Sarkhan the Dragonspeaker, has Haste, and Dethrone.

Re: TTC - FNM Changes and Q&A
It's really strange that a lot of people really do not like the banners, but the obelisks were really good in Alara, even though the draw a card ability makes the banners really good. I guess it must be that with morph in the set, turn three becomes so much more important? The issue with the banner...

Re: Custom cards - Playability assessment
templating: Scrying doesn't reveal the cards, and you can't put one into play during a scry. If you want to manipulate the cards in this way it should probably read: +1: Look at the top two cards of your library. You may put a land from among these cards into play. Put each card either onto the top ...

I'm working on a Narset all the turns and all the combat steps deck. I'm trying to get about 15-ish extra turn spells, and a few extra combat step spells, as well as a bunch of equipment and auras. It's also going to run armageddon, boom//bust, cataclysm, and the like. ![Twisted Evil ](./images/smilies/icon_twisted.gif)

Oh, damn! In my defense: The first thing goggle throws at me is TripAdvisor lying to the world that it's 110 volts. So the blender is even more powerful than I thought. Power systems are actually pretty variable. US Mains power is usually 110~120 VAC (nominally 115), but 220~240 VAC (nominally 230)...

yeah, the judge should have just said that the game was over on the first change of a life total. (MTR 2.5 if you'd like to read the rule.)

I'm not one to begrudge a one-of miser's 7-drop, especially one that can get a key creature back out of the yard.

A couple of things: 1. None of the Eldrazi Titans are dead. The Zendikar storyline ended on a cliffhanger, and last we saw, the plane is still being munched on by Eldrazi. (Although some of the titans might have returned to the blind eternities.) In addition, we've seen a "here's where everyon...

My Lore Seeker pack is usually Innistrad, because it works SO WELL with CNS.
Edit:
I sometimes like to troll my draft group and go for Homelands or Fallen Empires. Otherwise, it's more Conspiracy, or whatever's just come out.

Ah okay then I'll ask one of the judges before the event starts then if we're expected to return the land or not, I wouldn't want to walk off with it when I'm not supposed to. Don't worry about it. Return the lands if you don't mind de-sleeving your deck, but nobody's going to bother you about walk...

Bring a water bottle and snacks like apples or granola bars -- stuff that's not too heavy, travels well, and isn't terrible for you. Being hungry will put you on tilt, and you won't have a good time if you have to pay $7 for a crappy hot dog and $3 for a water bottle. If you're going to get stuff si...

I went Abzan and took 11th with a 2-3-0 record. No prizes for me. For prizes, we had 14-6-4-4-2-2-2-2. Our local community has decided that they only want prizes in finals, and the shop I run events for does 1.5 prize packs per player. We had 24 players at our prerelease. I'm hoping that Fate Reforg...

Given there's a bit of a shitstorm going on on Reddit about it, there's a question that's been on my mind about splitting. Namely, is splitting really legal? From rule 5.2 of the tournament rules: Players are allowed to share prizes they have not yet received in the current tournament as they wish ...

That sounds like the goal in my Niv-Mizzet deck. < http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/chaotic-board-1/ > It's intended to make games go long, but it's pretty bad at its job. Knowledge Pool is a fun add, though.

You may want to look into Upwelling as a mana capacitor, too, but keep in mind your opponents get to use it. Are you running Palinchron? Capsize? You should be able to generate arbitrarily large amounts of mana with the former, with a smaller arbitrary number of +1/+1s on Animar (so free fatties), i...
