Re: Doctor Who
I don't think he plans on meeting her. I think he happens to come across her. I think this is it. Remember that he never actually sees what she looks like... I predict that he comes across her in his travels earlier in her timeline and only we, the viewers know who she is. Then the doctor figures o...

Re: Doctor Who
The weird thing is that The girl in the Dalek is called Oswin Oswald, but the new/next companion who is played by the same girl was to be called Clara Oswin. The question is what happened, did they change the name, is it two different girls or is it the same girl with two names like Amelia/Amy Only ...

Re: Venting Thread Gamma
So remember that pic I posted a while ago, where my eyes were all swollen? Well anyway I looked like that yesterday (someone actually asked me if I got in a fight). So I went to the dermatologist today and you know what? The cream they gave me to use wasn't on the approved meds list! So the whole, i...

I know it's not entirely relevant to the argument you're making korri, but smoking pot underage isn't that bad, depending on how heavily he drinks could make that quite a valid point, but smoking pot between the ages of 15-20? Well, i've never had a problem with it, but these days it's at the point...

Ok, I'm pissed at my parents. So when my sister left for college (or a few years after, I don't really remember), my grandfather had bought a new car and she got the old, which she's been driving until now. And now my brother (who is a sophomore in college) got a research assitant job in the forrest...

Re: Venting Thread Gamma
The only thing that really helps the swelling and massive shedding of skin is steroid cream. Which I can't use for very long, because it causes thinning of the skin, which really isn't a good thing on eyelids, since the skin is already super thin. It was so bad last night that I decided to just use ...

Ok, this really sucks. I woke up today looking like I got punched in the face, my eyes were so swollen. I have removed all fragranced items from my life (what was supposedly causing it) and its only gotten worse. The cream I'm supposed to use to treat it makes my eyes burn to high hell and I can't k...

Grrr I had my 18 month review this week. The presentation went quite well and everyone was positive about it. However my review committee was less impressed by my review document and want me to revise it and resubmit it. This is not why I am venting. One of the things my committee wants to me to ch...

Oh god, I'm happy when someone cleans the house, or just part of the house, I really am grateful that someone takes the time. As long as that "someone" isn't my younger big brother, as he has this frustrating quality of never asking anyone anything about where stuff goes so he just cleans...

Damn you eczema on my eyelids! I stopped using fragranced stuff like the dermatologist said, but it just won't get any better, in fact, its gotten worse! *EYELIDS*?!? I used to get eczema on my fingertips in spring and fall (temp & humidity change, apparently) and that was annoying as hell but....

I am officially the only person in my circle of friends NOT sleeping with my landlady right now. I wouldn't mind but its starting to affect my sleep since I just hear constant giggling and fumbling through the wall and end up having to put headphones on for my own sanity. Then I can't sleep with my...

My eyes will change colors between green and blue. It's gotten me in trouble on my ID on more than one occasion. Same here and it usually depends on what I'm wearing, but I have a ring of lite brown in the center, so I can get away with writing hazel on my id... and since no one really knows what c...

The books are also being split into four movies from what I hear. However, I really don't know how they're going to do it... I don't think its going to be like HP where they just split up the last book either. I think the only real way to split it would be in the second book right after the quarter ...

As you may know I have not had the easiest time of it over the last couple months. At the first group meeting my supervisor talked about how we were not working hard enough. These books are freaking amazing!! If you plan on actually reading them, make sure you set aside a full day at least for the first one. I literally COULD NOT put it down. Even when I read it the second time, I still read it in one day. @epoc, have you seen who they've cast for the movies? Jennifer L...

I personally love Big Bang Theory and don't understand all the hate for it on the internet. To me, they're not depicting 'our' kind of nerd, but rather academic nerds. And having gone to a very academic university and now being in an engineering PhD program, I think its pretty accurate. Sure they're...

I was sincerely hoping she would pull through her depression and drugs. She was a great singer and had a very unique voice. It was also nice to hear real jazz getting some radio play nowadays.
